Gold leaf travels across skin like light moving over water, while red silk gathers at the edge of the frame. Study began with the difference between how gold and the body receive light, and what remains when the two meet.

The process
From idea to photograph. From photograph to emulsion. From emulsion into physical form.
These artworks began as photographs and were transformed by hand. The photographic emulsion was transferred onto wood, then worked with 24 karat gold and acrylic paint before being sealed with varnish.
Each piece is offered as a unique original. The framed artwork is the final artwork, ready to live beyond the screen and enter a physical space.
Nothing about this process can be undone or repeated exactly. Each of these four pieces exists only once.
